CMR

CMR was founded in Scandiano (RE) in 1990 as a custom manufacturer of pulleys and shafts for glazers (ceramic tile industry). Thanks to new investments, mainly abroad, the company rapidly developed and diversified its activity in just a few years.

Between 1995 and 1996 the company moved to its current location in Borzano, Albinea (RE).

Over the years CMR has undergone a profound transformation and today boasts 5 production plants in Italy, China. Thanks to these plants, and by taking advantage of international synergies, CMR is able to offer its customers high-level technology at a reasonable cost.

The level of know-how attained allows CMR to offer its customers a complete service from custom design to production, as well as provide technical and commercial assistance to satisfy customer needs in real time.

Thanks to the high level of professionalism and to the technologically advanced production processes, CMR is a true technological partner for its customers, with an excellent quality-price ratio.

CMR Group offers a complete range of high quality worm reducers.

The range includes all sizes from size “25” to “150”, available with reduction ratios from 7.5 to 100. A wide range of installation accessories completes the product range so that the products can replace any other similar products without changes in the application or performance.

The new range of CMR reducers meets the requirements of the most demanding customers in terms of quality, reliability, and life cycle, thanks to a meticulous design process, strict control of materials and use of state-of-the-art technologies and machinery.

The project has been coordinated by staff with a wide experience in this sector while production has been distributed among the various CMR units in Italy and abroad taking into account their competitive advantages.

Pulleys for glazers for the Ceramic Tile Industry

  • Pulleys for Glazers: Cmr has many years of experience in the ceramic tile sector and offers a wide range of pulleys for glazing lines with groove sections A,B,C starting from d.80 up to d.290. A wide range of parts is available in stock. All pulleys are made of grey cast iron with RAL 2004 paint.
  • Ring Pulley: CMR patent product, studied to optimise costs and reduce maintenance on glazing lines. Available in stock in the different groove sections B and C.
  • Cone pulleys: Cone pulleys with 2,3,4 grooves for the ceramic tile industry. Made of Aluminium.
  • Expanding pulleys: Expanding pulleys with diameter from d.90 up to d.242 with 1 or 2 grooves. Made of G20 cast iron with galvanised surface treatment.
  • SPA, SPB, SPC, SPZ Pulleys: V-belt pulleys with sections SPA;SPB;SPC;SPZ for taper bush or cylindrical hole according to customer specifications.

Machining of pulleys for special applications is carried out according to customer specifications.

In 2004 CMR opened a new production plant alongside its headquarters, dedicated to the production of conveyor rollers for the ceramic tile industry.

The custom manufactured rollers have single or double bearings, plastic or iron pins and are coated with BPS/MNA, VGH or Silicone.

The length varies from 600mm to 3500mm, with a tube thickness that ranges from 1.2mm to 5mm.

Gear Wheels

Types of Toothing

Production of standard case-hardened and ground gears with straight and helical toothing starting from module M0.5 for 10 mm up to module M14 for an 800 mm diameter. Gear cutting machines for straight bevel gears and grinding machines for small production series. Production of custom reducing gears.

Main features

The materials used to manufactures the gears are, in order of importance:

steel, cast iron, bronze and at times light alloys (for toothing with a low level of stress).

Steel gears can be manufactured with hardened and tempered materials (140-400 Brinell) which are processed without altering the level of final hardness, or with case-hardened toothing, processed before the thermal treatment, including those to be subjected to induction hardening.

Case-hardened gears are suitable for heavy work applications where the materials used are nickel, nickel–chrome, and nickel-chrome-molybdenum alloy steels as they are subject to distortion.

Case hardening depth is measured in tenths of a millimetre

The use of bronze-aluminium (B14 – B10) is usually limited to the production of helical wheels coupled with worm screws for example like the worm reducers.
