Murtfeldt Logo

Murtfeldt

Murtfeldt products are used in all situations requiring packaging, filling, and transport systems. The Dortmund-based company is one of the world's leading manufacturers of slide profiles, chain and belt guides, chain tensioners, and custom machine parts made from abrasion-resistant glide-enabling plastics.

Murtfeldt paved the way for success in the 1950s when Original Material "S"® Green was introduced. The company thus created a brand that even today is synonymous with excellent glide properties, high abrasion and wear resistance, and a long service life.

Today, Murtfeldt boasts an extensive range of plastics that are used in many different industry sectors: In automation engineering, assembly and handling technology, drive engineering, conveyor technology, the beverage, food, and packaging industries, medical engineering, pharmaceutical production, and laboratory equipment. We create products that are, for example, antistatic, antibacterial, wear resistant, temperature resistant, or noise reducing as required. Combinations of multiple properties are also possible.

Chain guides
Where there is friction, there is wear. This is especially the case for applications where metallic materials are used. For example, for chains that run on metal guides, regular lubrication is absolutely vital. The aim is to achieve quiet, smooth running and long-term functional reliability. Murtfeldt chain guides protect your chains. They guarantee optimum running properties at the same time as extremely high wear resistance. The tried-and-tested Original Materials "S"® and "S"®1000 are economical options with ideal material properties that make them well-suited for use as guides for roller and round link chains.

Steel C profiles

  • Chain guides for roller chains
  • Chain guides for round link chains
  • Belt guides
  • Profiles for conveying and transportation
  • Chain racks

Advantages of Murtfeldt chain guides

  • High wear resistance
  • Very good slide properties
  • Self-lubricating (no need for any oil lubrication at all)
  • Extremely impact and break resistant, even at very low temperatures (up to -250°C)
  • High resistance to chemicals
  • Vibration-reducing properties
  • No moisture absorption
  • No corrosion
  • Approved for use in the food industry (EU and FDA)

Tensioning systems by Murtfeldt
Ensure regulated machine operations with Murtfeldt tensioning systems

Chains and belts are pivotal wearing parts in many plants and machines. Because they are constantly in motion, they are subject to especially high stresses and strains. Belts require pre-tensioning and chain links stretch, causing increasingly turbulent movement.

Murtfeldt tensioning systems reliably keep chains and belts at the correct tension and thus increase their lifetime. They have proved their worth around the world over decades of use. Our past experience means that we can provide optimum advice and supply the best possible solution on every occasion.

Wide range of products - extensive warehouse
Thanks to our diverse range of different tensioning systems, we can meet practically any requirement quickly and accurately. If you require a custom solution, our consultancy service will gladly provide free, non-binding advice whenever you need it.

  • Chain tensioners for roller chains
  • Automatic belt tensioners
  • The advantages of our tensioning systems
  • Smooth chain path
  • Reduction in wear on chain joints and drive sprockets
  • Reduction in working noise
  • Automatic adjustment
  • Equalization of chain and belt extension
  • Use as chain and belt guard
  • Deflection of chain and belt drives
  • Small overall size
  • Simple assembly

One of our aims is to make the lifetime of your plants as long as possible. Our lubrication systems provide you with a competitively priced solution that makes an important contribution to achieving this goal. - Murtfeldt lubrication systems constitute a perfected combination of sound technology, reliable functioning, and cost effectiveness.

To meet your requirements completely – both for manual and automatic lubrication
The architecture and structure of your plants dictates whether manual or automatic lubrication systems are best. While manual units have to be opened or closed by the operator, automatic systems are electronically controlled by the plant itself. You can choose between a manual lubrication system, an automatic lubrication system, a central lubrication unit with a pump, or an automatic spray system. All of our systems have optimum dosing capability, good visual control of drippage, and a choice of Plexiglas or natural glass cylinders.
