The smooth surface of the drive is very beneficial primarily for hygienic applications. There is no possibility to generate nests of dirt in corners and edges, as for example between cooling fins.

This leads naturally to optimal hygienic properties, as they are required in the food industry. This characteristic allows that the drives also can be cleaned perfectly.

Gears and geared motors with constant speeds

Shaft mounted gearboxes and geared motors
Shaft mounted gears and geared motors are especially designed for universal application and can be supplied with either a solid or hollow shaft. The housings are produced from first class grey cast iron with rugged walls and inner ribbing and therefore ensure extreme torsional resistance and noise absorption. Forces are distributed through hardened helical gears produced from high quality steel with precision ground tooth profiles. These structural characteristics further reinforce optimised noise reduction.

Type FG

Worm gearboxes and geared motors / Helical worm gearboxes and geared motors
The degree of efficiency in Rehfuss high performance worm gearboxes and helical worm gearboxes is more than 90%. All worm shafts are made from case hardened alloy steel and the flanks are precision ground. The worm wheels are made from special wear-resistant bronze.

Helical worm gears are equipped with a helical gear. Worm gears with shrink disc, torque limiter, as well as adjustable backlash designs are also part of our standard product range.

Planetary gearboxes
Planetary gearboxes are used in robotics, in area gantries, linear motion systems and automated mechanical engineering, as well as in CNC tool machines. Due to unique constructive modifications and precise manufacturing of the components, the backlash in those machines could be reduced to a minimum.

Bevel gear units
Bevel gear units are designed for operation under extreme strain. Spiral teeth, hardened bevel gears, generously designed bearings and robust cast housings ensure superior smooth operation. The gear units are sealed for life and thus absolutely maintenance free. They can be used in all working positions by means of fastening bores on all sides.

Frequency inverters
All Rehfuss gearboxes and geared motors can be executed/manufactured as electronic adjustable speed drives. In combination with frequency inverters, static converters or servo motors, they present customised drive solutions. Rehfuss frequency inverters can be supplied as a stand alone unit or in combination with an electric motor. Further, frequency inverters with 3 phase motors are optional.

Variable speed belt drives
Rehfuss variable speed belt drives are cost-effective, maintenance-free and universally applicable. They allow enormously fine grading's, meaning that the speed range can be tuned specifically for the application at hand. It can be adjusted individually and without the need for any ancillary equipment.
